Chocolate Donuts, Baked
Chocolate Donuts, Baked
(Makes 6)

¾ cup flour
½ cup fine white sugar
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup milk
2 tblsp Vegetable or Canola oil
½tblsp apple cidar vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract

NOTES: I used a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk, maybe add a few sprinkles on top of the glaze to jazz them up for a special occasion. This is the tray I used, very heavy duty, should last forever.

Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Combine the dry ingredients in one bowl. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl then add the wet to the dry and mix, just until combined, do not over mix.
use spray relief or grease your donut molds/tray. then add 1/6th of the batter to each of the six donut molds. The batter will rise, so don't worry about being perfect inside the mold. Bake for 14-15 minutes, do not over bake! After 1 minute I try to lightly rotate the donut in the mold and repeat for all six, after 2-3 minutes you can turn the pan upside down on a rack with paper towels underneath. The donuts should all pop out with light tapping.
